La Corporation du moulin Légaré (The Légaré Mill Corporation)

In 1976, the Corporation du moulin Légaré, a non-profit organization, was created in order to ensure the protection, conservation and promotion of this exceptional heritage site. Volunteer administrators are chosen by the members of the Annual General Assembly.

This organization oversees the management of the mill, the maintenance of the old machinery and the production of flour, around 30 tonnes a year, using time-honoured methods. For 19 years, the Corporation du moulin Légaré has organized, with several regional partners, the ?Festival de la galette et des saveurs du terroir,? a festival of buckwheat cakes and local dishes. Since 1985, this festival has contributed to the mill's operation and to the distribution of its products.
