Julia Thomas attended Pelican Lake Indian Residential School from 1943-1951.Julia Thomas met Tom Keesic at the Sioux Lookout Zone Hospital. Julia was a nurses' aid and Tom was a patient recovering from tuberculosis.
They married in 1953 and lived all their lives at Forestry Point in Red Lake. Julia passed away Sept 2001.
It is with the permission of both her daughters, Gina and Virginia, that Julia's personal documents have been made available.
