Once better roads began to be built, the automobile began to arrive in the West.

Trucks were brought in to deliver goods, and all manner of automobiles from small, sporty cars, to larger family transportation began to travel the roads along side the horses and buggies.

Ed Buelow's 1st Car, a 1918 Model T.

The first production Model T Ford was assembled at the Piquette Avenue Plant in Detroit on October 1, 1908.

Ford built 15,000,000 automobiles (from 1908 to 1927) with the Model "T" engine, all of them, black, with little change in its design through all those years. This was the first "car for the masses".

Ed Buelow, another of our early pioneers, came from Washington state, to our area in 1905 to homestead.

He loved the land, especially harvesting, and was good at making toy sleighs and wagons, and playing horseshoes.
