The beginning of World War Two caused another onslaught of patriotism in the Innisfail community, with enlistments skyrocketing just as had happened in World War One. Once again everyone's attention was focussed on Europe, and many brave Innisfail men answered the call of duty and gave their all fighting for our nation.
