Ti-Charles (Charles Obomsawin) was fond of Mrs. Clark. He recounted that, after her husband's death, she still came back to the club. Ti-Charles had to take her out in a canoe, with another canoe tied behind for her husband's soul. Ti-Charles was not very enthusiastic about these rather odd outings. He would have preferred to guide her on fishing trips.
