The Seton Centre continues its mission to bring the life and accomplishments of Ernest Thompson Seton to each generation of Seton enthusiasts. Some of the focus is on his writings such as the fore mentioned Trail of the Sandhill Stag. Another area the museum attempts to highlight is Seton's interest in recording and understanding the wild creatures of the land. In 1909 he published the two volume comprehensive Life-Histories of Northern Animals, An Account of the Mammals of Manitoba using Charles Scribner's Sons, New York City as publisher. Fast forward to the present period when youth and children at The Seton Centre are being introduced to Seton's passion for nature.through day camps for art and nature investigations. The camps have been titled Wild About Art/Nature and Art With a Twist of Nature, As well, as a special tribute to Seton's art and to his appreciation for this area, The Seton Centre has commissioned sculptor Chris Cooper to create a sculpture for Little Seton Park. When completed the bronze life size sculpture of a wolf will be installed in Little Seton Park
