Across the street from William G. Nash's trio of family homes stood a cousin's house, built by William A. Nash, on land once owned by John Williamson.

This house had a particularly sad end, being suddenly demolished in 1989 by a overzealous descendant.

The oldest property was the Samuel Nash house (latterly known as the Nash-Jackson House), which predated most of the other buildings in the area save for the Gage (Battlefield) House to the east and the Red Hill House to the west.

In the mid 20th century, Leone (Nash) Jackson became an important social personage, and was involved in groups like the Women's Institutes and with the preservation of Battlefield Park.
