April 28th, 1918, Clara "saw Mortimer for the last time alive about 5 o'clock on that never to be forgotten Sunday afternoon,.....I told him I would be in, in the morning to see him, and he said "so do mother", God help me, I can not write about it."These diary entries are the last in the third of Clara's diaries.
