Clara received this certificate for her tireless work with the Women's Patriotic Association. As can be read in her diaries, she always managed to find the time to sew shirts for the soldiers of the Newfoundland Regiment and deliver them to the Court House. She attended most meetings and encouraged others to get involved in the war effort. Clara's contribution to World War 1 was considerable. This community memory archive is dedicated to her.
