Velocipedes were used on the railway by track workers as a means to get to points between stations.

These simple machines were the main mode of transportation for many men and as a result, workers often gathered aound a velocipede for a photograph to commemorate the project they were working on.

The Museum houses several pieces of agricultural equipment including the Thresher which provided an important link between railway construction, forestry and agriculture on the British Columbia frontier. Agriculture not only provided food for the families along the track, but also the funds required to establish the railway stations themselves.
