The community group, Herbert Heritage Association, restored the train station building, after turning it to face the street in February, 1987.

The building is currently the CPR Train Station Museum which doubles as the tourist centre in Herbert. Faspa is served in the station agent's home throughout the summer. The station agent lived in the back and upstairs of the building.

Additions to the museum include a boxcar, snowplow and caboose. A rural school has been moved to town and is on site as well with many additional artifacts.
