2003

The Order of AHEPA in Canada was honored in 2003 by Canada Post. In honor of the Order's 75th Anniversary in Canada, Canada Post issued a stamp celebrating AHEPA's past and present commitment to Education and Philanthropy. The stamp, designed by Signal Design Group of Vancouver, was unveiled by Prime Minister Jean Chretien as part of the celebration of Greek Independence Day (1828). The celebration was a tribute to AHEPA chapters across Canada.

This is the first stamp in the history of Canada Post that honors an ethnic organization. Supreme President of the Order of AHEPA, Dr. James F. Dimitriou, said of the event, ". . . the postage stamp is a reflection upon the many years of their [members of the Brothers and Sisters of the Order in Canada] hard work ethic and the countless hours of volunteer service to the communities and neighborhoods of Canada."
