The following is a newspaper article written by the The Evening Advocate, Jan. 20, 1922.Schr. "Rose M" Ashore at Azores
"Mr. M.E. Martin has received word that the schooner, Rose M, Captain S. Kendrick bound from Fogo to Oporto with fish, was ashore at the Azores and the crew had landed safely.
No further particulars regarding the schooner's condition have been received and it is not known if she is a total wreck.
The Rose M, loaded at Fogo for the Nfld. Labrador Export Co. and has over 4,000 quintals of codfish on board. Both the vessel and cargo are insured."
