They were painting by the ruins of the old mill, some distance from each other. Aunt Jane's friend came to her and asked her "Who was that old man who was standing beside you while you were painting?" Aunt Jane replied that there was no one with her, she was alone.

Her friend described the man that she had seen. It was a description of Homer Watson!

There have been stories of the Homer Watson House being haunted by his ghost.
