When fire broke out, the bell in Bell Park was rung and the bucket brigade went into action. This photograph taken in the early 1900's shows both men and women working to stop a fire before it could spread to multiple cottages. This picture shows the gate house at the end of the dock and one of the many boathouses that were built along the beach.
