The late Murray J. MacLeod was a member of Armstrong Memorial Branch No. 19. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War Two with the Canadian Wing of R.A.F. Fighter Command and No. 6 R.C.A.F. Bomber Group as an air traffic controller. He had an extensive career in journalism and public relations, nationally and internationally. Mr. MacLeod's mother and father worked for the Western Union North Sydney, Nova Scotia and as such he became a keen historian on the Western Union. Without his records this exhibit would not be possible.
