STRAIT AREA CAMPUS AND NAUTICAL INSTITUTE offers a wide variety of technical and occupational programs that have been developed with extensive input from business and industry. Areas of specialty include:Trades and Technology, Business, and Health and Human Services. The campus also offers customized training to suit the needs of local employers and special marine and safety training courses through the Nautical Institute Division. The Nautical Institute houses state of the art marine training equipment, including navigation and propulsion plant simulators.

CREIGNISH BY THE SEA - Stella Maris Catholic Church is the focal point in the communities on either side of Creignish on route number 19 known as the Ceilidh (kay lee) Trail. There are a large number of people living here who are descendants of the original pioneers. They have built new homes on land that was granted in the 1790's and early 1800's to their families. They go to work in Port Hawkesbury and Point Tupper which is a fifteen minute drive away and return to live and raise their families in this picturesque location overlooking St. George's Bay.

CRIEGNISH on the Ceilidh Trail (route # 19) is one of the first commuities through which you drive if you're travelling around the famous Cabot Trail. There is a strong sense of pride and friendliness among residents all along this highway which passes through many such small communities.
