Harding, Albert "Edward" F56932. Born 10 September 1923 in Enslow's Point, Shelburne County; killed in action 9 August 1944 in France. Son of Albert and Margaret "Pearl" (Firth) Harding. Previous to his enlistment Edward was an employee of Clark Ruse Company at Eastern Passage, Halifax County, Nova Scotia. He enlisted at Halifax on 3 June 1943, embarked for overseas 1 May 1944 and for France 9 June 1944. Buried at Bretteville-Sur Laize Canadian War Cemetery, Grave 3, Row , Plot 12, Calvados, France.
He also has the illustrated photograhed grave marker in his community Anglican Cemetery, Lake John Road, Jordan Falls, Shelburne County.

Decorative scrolls were purchased, and the names were written, in calligraphy, of those who were killed as well as those members who served. The framed Honour Rolls were then placed in community churches or schools. On 2 July 1944, the mother of Harry Hicks unveiled an Honour Roll in the Lockeport Baptist Church for those in the community who were killed and those who were serving.
