Looking back through time life seems simpler, however the integration of communities and the railroad can be complex. As explained by the Coffee Club it could be as complicated as three different times in one region. Ed describes how in Golden there was CPR time, city time and daylight savings time in other time zones. Les tells story of a call boy being confused and calling a train crew two hours too early.

Witnessing their determination and sacrifice, hearing their community memories, this legacy contributes to a fuller understanding of Canada.
