The buildings associated with the Grain Elevator carry now a wide assortment of gift items . With good icecream available and picnic tables, this makes an attractive part of Creamery Square. The owners have made sure the paintwork does match that of other buildings in the Square, and have taken care with the flower beds outside. Independently owned this is not actually part of the Creamery Square Association but there is a good working relationship and co-operation where appropriate.

Ever since the Farmers' Market opened the vendors have requested that steps be erected between the upper parking lot and the actual Square, making it easier for people to access the Market. The summer of 2012 saw work beginning on this project - It is now completed, with attractive raised flower beds and bicycle stands; the steps link the two areas, and cross over the Butter Trail. People using them are plunged immediately into a variety of outdoor stalls and the sound of music.

Where the car park stairway crosses the Trail, there is a good overall view of the Square, with what will be the Centre for the Arts on the left, the Heritage Centre and then the Farmers' Market on the right. When full of people and vendors in the summer, it is an exciting, vibrant place to visit.

A recent addition in 2012 are the illustrated interpretation panels placed near the deck, the Centre for the Arts and the car park stairway- these tell of :

1). The 19th Century shipbuilding industry in Tatamagouche. Just to the right of the deck and panel is where the last large ship was built and launched in 1900.

2) The story of the Battle of Tatamagouche Bay in the 18th Century

3)The Butter Trail and Inter-colonial railway

When all the building is completed then will be the landscaping of the areas between the different attractions - what form this will take is uncertain at the moment.
