C. McChesney: Now did he run the store by himself or did he ever have a partner?

N. Kaplan: At first run by himself, then my uncle came, came here, six months later.

C. McChesney: What was your uncle's name?

N. Kaplan: Max

C. McChesney: And your dad's name is?

N. Kaplan: Hyman

C. McChesney: And it became Kaplan brothers at that point I think you said?

N. Kaplan: That was Kaplan brothers, the beginning of Kaplan brothers.

C. McChesney: How long did the store last? Do you remember when it closed down?

N. Kaplan: It closed down in 1933 or 1934.
