Healing touches everyone's life in some way - we have all been affected by some form of mental, emotional or physical impairment. Traditional western medicine has developed many mechanical and chemical procedures to expedite 'wellness' but do these often detached techniques accomplish true healing?

New evidence suggests that true health must include an emotional bond with ourselves, some measure of joy, and meaningful relationships with others and our environment. If we do not embrace love and gentleness can recovery really be complete?

The images rendered by the gifted artists presented in "Pleasure" - professionals, newcomers and Sunday painters alike - reflect the creative expression of these'alternative' methods of personal survival and healing - truly a celebration of life.
