Our Soldiers

Our soldiers are brave,

And they will never back down,

Even if they now lie in their graves,

They were not a let-down.

They lived to protect,

And are thus treated with respect.

But when the war came,

Things could never be the same.

Day by day the soldiers had no choice but to fight

By morning, by day, and even by night.

And when it was all over, it came at too big a cost

Most of the soldiers we had were all lost.

But even though they died,

They showed great pride,

So we will always remember them.
