Norwegian Food at Laft Hus

Norwegians have generally been known to think about food first and foremost, so many events concerned seeking out the old and forgotten recipes for typical Norwegian dishes to make and serve. During those early years, most of these recipes and techniques were shared with club members by the late Rolf & Thelma Lund of Red Deer. Thelma was a wonderful cook of Norwegian dishes and Rolf had been raised a proud traditionalist in Norway. He was in his element when teaching second and third generation Norwegian-Canadians how to do things the Norwegian way. (They were also, incidentally, the parents of Gordie Lund of the former "Gordie's Ski Shop" in Red Deer and he the uncle of world-famed Norwegian Actress, Liv Ullmann).
