The Days

Here I am,

Fighting for Uncle Sam,

My homeland,

And for the man.

Here I am,

In Afghanistan,

Where it is hot,

And where I have fought.

Here I am,

With my medals in my hand,

And finally in my homeland,

With my band.

Now I tell stories,

About those days of glory,

In the black haze,

But I don't want to remember those dreary days.
