The United Empire Loyalist of Remsheg and Westchester.

"Refugees from the American Revolution".

In memory of Thomas Huestis 1759-1815. A United Empire Loyalist from New York State. A pioneer of this community, a faithful Methodist. He settled in Remsheg (Wallace) in 1784 and was the forefather of the Huestis family in Nova Scotia.

Stephen Tuttle JP., U.E.L. and his second wife, Mary Graham, born in1733, in New Jersey. He established an estate near Albany, N.Y. He was a Loyalist, he sacrificed his position and propert in the Empire's cause and died at Remsheg.

From their grave stones, two brif mentions of the amazing, brave group of refugees that settled in Remsheg, present day Wallace, on the Northumberland Strait , in northern Nova Scotia A
