Lunch Pails

Lunch Pails
There was no such think as a fancy lunch pail in early days. What was required was a container that would protect the lunch from the weather and the hard knocks it might receive going to and from school. It also needed a handle so it could be carried. What could be more appropriate and inexpensive than a syrup, honey or lard pail.
As time passed lunch kits became available for purchase. They would even accommodate a thermos. Then students could even take something hot in their lunches. These lunch kits were also made of metal so they protected the lunches.
