PICTORIAL DISPLAYS - "A picture is worth a thousand words" they say so this has been the basis of most of our displays. We've depicted the story of our communities over the two hundred twenty years of permanent settlement in this part of Nova Scotia using photographs in story lines throughout the Gut of Canso Museum and Archives.
We receive many compliments on the homey atmosphere we've managed to create in this storey and a half bungalow on Church St.,Port Hastings.

INTERVIEWING RESIDENTS - We continue to record the stories of our residents for future generations. Mrs. Lillian Williams of Mulgrave who raised a large family while serving as a town councillor had very interesting stories to tell to Katrin MacKinnon in 2002. Mrs. Williams is one of many interesting interviews done with residents of the communities on both sides of the Strait of Canso.
