The Chronicles reported that Sister St Jean de Goto was the spirit of the community of Tracadie and of her numerous good works.

Excerpt from a letter by Sister Saint Jean de Goto, written from the Hôtel-Dieu Saint Joseph of Arthabaska, Quebec, on February 22th, 1904.
It was addressed to Dr. A. C. Smith, Tracadie, New Brunswick.

My dear Doctor,
Your good letter of last January 1st did not leave me unaffected. I keep too good a souvenir to forget you and I would say like the chorus: "Once known, never forgotten". I thank you very much for the favourable interest you are taking in your former patient...I thank Mrs. Smith for the good memories...
Wishing you success and happiness , I beg of you to believe me, my dear doctor,

Decoration given to 8 Religious Hospitallers of Saint Joseph

On August 16, 1981, at the occasion of the 109th birthday of sister Louise Légère, the Ordre of Saint Lazare gave a silver medal to sister Louise Légère.

A bronze medal were also given to: sisters Roseline Légère, Alice Albert, Marie Blanche Daigle, Louisa Landry, Marie de Lorette Landry, Victoria Branch and Ina Branche which worked with the lepers at the lazaretto of Tracadie.

Mr. Robert Pichette was the instigator of this event. On September 13, sister Ina died suddenly, and on December 9th of that same year, 1981, sister Louise Légère died, both at 109 years of age.
