As normalcy returned to everyday living in the 1950's, Millet's progress maintained a steady pace. The population had risen to 395 by 1951. A Community Hall had been built and paid for through the tremendous efforts of the Board of Trade and with help from Millet's volunteer organizations. Also, six rooms were added to the school from 1954 to 1959 as rural children were bussed to the Millet School from the surrounding school districts.
