A new school, the Griffiths-Scott School, opened in 1981. Housing development continued and the population was increasing rapidly. The Millet and District Agricultural Society received its Charter in 1985 and the dream of a large Sports Complex was in the planning stages. This dream came true when the complex was officially opened in March, 1990.
