The Mockbeggar Plantation Provincial Historic Site, located in Bonavista Newfoundland, is a restored outport merchant premisses. The history of the plantation dates back to the 17th century when the town of Bonavista was first settled. The site consists of a large property with a dwelling house and outbuildings. The Bradley House on the property is the focus of site interpretation. It is restored to 1939 when it was the home of F. Gordon Bradley and his family. Staff in period costume are on hand to guide you through the house. The outbuildings consist of a large fish store, a barter shop, a cod liver oil factory and a cabinet makers shop.
