The title panel is inside a moveable wood panel board with black foam core inserts. The letters for the title are printed, individually cut out and attached using double-sided tape. The pictures on the right side were chosen to give visitor's a general overview of the exhibit and museum.

The board and staff photo of 2009 was chosen as one of the pictures to attach to the title panel. Since the Millet and District Historical Society runs the museum and members of the Historical Society are all volunteers, the museum would cease to exist without their hard work and dedication.

Each theme of the storyline is divided using the large text letters that are 4" in size. Again, the letters were individually cut out from printed letters with each panel made from black foam core that is 40 by 60 inches. The panels were then attached by mirror holders to the already existing wall panels.

Text for the exhibit was chosen to be printed in Century Schoolbook font with the sub-title in 40 point and the copy labels in 28 point. The presidents of the Historical Society are on the right side of the panel.

Gold Edition of Tales and Trails being Auctioned Off by Local Antique Dealer, Al Kilborn

The first set of Tales and Trails off the press had gold covers instead of brown, with which the rest were printed. The gold set of books fetched $515 at an auction put on by local antique dealer, Al Kilborn. In 1986 the Millet Lions Club bought the books at an auction for $600 and donated them to the Historical Society.

Due to the length of the text for the title, "In the Beginning..." two text panels were created. The theme is separated based on the order of events, with the first panel being about the history book and the second about the construction of both the Senior's Manor and the museum.

In the beginning, the Historical Society developed a collection of photos with this photo at the opening of John A. Smith Manor in 1985 being the first one. Today, the archive collection contains over 3000 photos. The majority of the photos in this exhibit come from this collection, as it recorded events and past exhibits that the museum hosted.
