This panel features all of the mentors that the Historical Society has had over the 25 years. From the photo collection of the Historical Society, all mentors photos were found with the exception of a few listed at the bottom of the board. By attaching all these photos, viewers of the exhibit can understand from how many mentors and workshops the staff and volunteers have received valuable and necessary museum knowledge.

Contract archivist Kathryn Ivany, has taken several contracts with the museum, mainly working in the archives where she organized and shelved many of the donated paper artifacts. In 2007 she took a contract with the museum to write a book about the 30th Anniversary of the Historical Society. Kathryn taped interviews with Jean Scott about the history of the Historical Society to write the book. She used information as well, that is held in our Museum Archives.

Michael Gourlie has been working for the Archives Society of Alberta since July 1997 as Executive Director/Archive Advisor. He received a B.A. in History from the University of Victoria and a M.A.S. from the University of British Columbia. He has done on site annual archives awareness workshops for volunteers.

Diana was the Exhibits Coordinator at the Red Deer Museum and Art Gallery for thirty years. She holds a Diploma in Art and Design and a Bachelor of Arts (Special) with Distinction. Diana helped the museum with exhibits throughout the past by hosting workshops on signage and case arrangement.

Diana helped design the layout of this case. In order to create a more interesting design, height was added to one side of the case. Both hat mount and mannequin workshops have been put on for the museum volunteers in the past. As such, this case showcases tools used to make both hat mounts and mannequins.

Past president, Gloria Wilkinson pushed for training. Due to this, the museum still receives training and attends workshops to increase the skills of the staff and volunteers. Both Gloria and Tracey Leavitt, now Executive Director, were the first to complete the AMA Citation II certificate in Alberta in 1994.
