In some thirty years, Les Sortilèges have built up a fabulous wardrobe, containing more than 2000 costumes. Varied, cosmopolitan and the fruit of much research and of a quest for authenticity, it has been admired by various audiences throughout the world. Born from the assiduous, and nearly volunteer labour of a group of passionate people, it contributed in instilling life into the choreographies, while stirring the audiences' emotions. Les Sortilèges' wardrobe, as much as their dances and choreographies, will remain a representation of international folklore and Québécois culture in their diversity and tenacity to survive in spite of obstacles and difficulties. This magnificent wardrobe has not only been a fine present from Les Sortilèges to their public, but it has also become a cultural, folkloric and ethnological heritage.

We want to thank all those who got involved in bringing Les Sortilèges' wardrobe into being.
