Honouring our Fallen - Letters of Remembrance

In the lead up to Remembrance Day the Grade 5/6 Language Arts class of New Richmond High School participated in writing exercise dedicated to honouring our fallen soldiers. To help introduce the theme artifacts, stories, and photographs from the Bay Chaleur Military Museum's collection relating to several Gaspesians who died in service were brought into the classroom. Students were subsequently assigned a Gaspesian soldier who died in service that they would have to research. Students were then required to compose a letter to the family of their assigned soldier. Several of the letters, accompanying artwork, and associated photographs / artifacts have been shortlisted for this storyline.
