Monster Sports Day Ball Diamond to be Made
Rockhaven district sport booster are now talking over the prospects of a monster sports day to be held at Atton's Lake, one of the real beauty spots of the west, where bathing, boating and aquatic sports would add much to a baseball, football, basketball program, with horseshoe competitions thrown in. A baseball diamond will have to be made, but there is an ideal spot and as this lake is known all over the district and visited by thousands each summer a sports day at this pretty spot would be a big drawing card and with good weather the promoters would be assured of a large crowd.

On Wednesday, the United Sunday Schools of Rockhaven, Gallivan and Riding Hill held their annual picnic at Atton's Lake. Owing to the busy season not as large a crowd as usual was present, but everyone seemed to have a good time. The day being so pleasant the young people, also some of the older ones spent most of the afternoon in the water. At suppertime a very bountiful meal was spread in a long line. Afterward an interesting football game was played between the married men and the bachelors, the score being 3-3. The Sunday School children were given their usual treat of ice cream and oranges.
