150 years | 150 works: Canadian Art as Historical Act

Galerie de l’UQAM 2018

In this exhibit where art and history come together, discover 150 works that helped define Canada’s cultural identity over the past 150 years. Among them are classics and lesser-known works that have left a mark on Canadian art, or bear witness to major social and political events. Also featured are many pieces that make use of certain symbols to criticize Canada’s colonial history. Create your own story by selecting the pieces that interest or intrigue you.
