In the summer of 1998, a runaway forest fire near Silver Creek, BC forced 7,000 people from their homes. Relive this massive civil evacuation — the largest the province had yet seen — through this photographic account. This exhibit also shares some of the stories of courage and dedication from those who helped, including Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, community firefighters, the RCMP, the BC Search and Rescue Association, and the BC Ambulance Service.
