Point Leamington: The River

Creator(s): Point Leamington Heritage Interpretation Centre

Much of Point Leamington's heritage has been generated by the Mill River, Newfoundland, and by the Atlantic salmon found in that river. As this Community Memories exhibit illustrates, the town of Point Leamington has changed considerably over the years. But from the salmon fishing of the Beothuk to the sport of fly-fishing today, from the sawmill to the swimming pool, "The River" has remained constant to this community and its people.
