The VMC Teachers' Centre is an initiative of the Canadian Heritage Information Network. VMC Teachers' Centre provides access to digital collections and learning resources developed by curators, museum educators and other museum professionals.

Within the VMC Teachers' Centre, all content developed by museums is freely accessible. Users may, however, also adapt or create content by registering in the Teachers' Centre Studio. A free registration process allows users to establish a teacher, student or museum educator profile. Users can use the Teachers' Centre Studio's simple tools to create their own compositions, complete learning resources and save media files. Lessons created by teachers and museum educators can be made public for anyone to access, while private content is visible only to the groups indicated by the user. Student projects can only be shared within their class forum. The tools provided through the Teachers' Centre Studio allow the use of private or public blogs, wikis, messaging and Web conferencing, depending on the type of user and on its intended use.
