This Learning Object Collection chronicles the building of the Basilica-Cathedral in St. John's (Newfoundland) between 1837 and 1855. It was the determination of Irish immigrants making a new life in Newfoundland that brought the project to completion. These events were instrumental in the gradual development of St. John's as a community.
