What were some of the differences between Canada and Germany you first observed? Cultural or otherwise? Are these differences still present?

I feel that Germany was more of a class based society and less homogenous than Canada. There were differences in the people in Germany. A Bavarian, a Saxon, and someone from Berlin all used different dialects and had somewhat of a different culture. In Canada, the people were Canadian wherever you went and much more internationally focused than individuals in Germany. Canada still has a very tolerant and internationally minded society.
