TRANSCRIPT

Mr. Thompson:
Because..I lucked out through a friend from school and ended up..getting a job at Imperial Oil, Ioco.

Interviewer:
Oh really? What did you do there?

Mr. Thompson:
I started out..in the pumphouse, which is a shift work job and you transfer..all the gasses and that around, plus well, mainly you worked on the dock as a dock pumpman and you loaded barges and ships. And then..that was about..two years of that, and then I went into what they call, 'The Pipe Gang,' as a welder-fabricator, and I was in there for about another four years.
