TRANSCRIPT

Ms. Wallsmith:
My dad worked for Imperial Oil.

Interviewer:
Oh he did. What did he do there?

Ms. Wallsmith:
He was an accountant. When he started over there he was only sixteen so he was like an office boy at the time. And at that time there was no road over to Ioco, they..there was a long wharf that went out from Queen Street, it was about a mile long, and you had to walk out there, and they had a boat that took the employees over to Ioco. And it was my mom's uncle who owned the boat, and she was doing nurses training in Vancouver, and she would come out and stay with her aunt and uncle, and that's how she met my dad.
