So, were the Bairds ready to sell the company, do you think?

Mr. Docker:
Obviously, yeah. Well Bus had a really bad back.

Interviewer:
Oh, ok.

Mr. Docker:
They were tired. They were tired and..competition was getting too tough, you know. If they really wanted to stay in the business they were gonna have to build two new tugs with more horsepower. And there was no, there was no subsidy to build them. That's how they built the, 'Sea Best,' there was a subsidy to build the boat. There was none then, so if you wanted to build it you were gonna have to go and borrow the money and you'd better have the work to pay for the boat once you get it. Or then you'd have to go and lease the boat out, and I don't know if they really wanted to do that.
