Charles Doubrough, 103 relocation interview summary.

The TH&B 103 was moved to Westfield for two main reasons: It was deteriorating and being vandalized in Gage Park and it would compliment the Jerseyville Station already located at Westfield. Charles approached the Board of Westfield Heritage Village and made a pitch for the relocation. They gave him the go-ahead to talk to the City of Hamilton and he had a meeting with Reg Wheeler, Chairman of the Parks Board. Reg wanted to know if the engine could be restored to operation before he'd agree to the move and he had inspectors look it over. They concluded that it wasn't feasible to rebuild the boiler at that time and so, the Parks Board donated the engine to Westfield for one dollar.
