The extensive training available, free to all levels from potential jumpers through to accomplished competitors, the quality of the facilities and the
dedication of those responsible for the programs had consequences which, in 1963, justified all the considerable effort spent on promoting ski jumping. In that year, Gerry Gravelle and Rheal Seguin (also holder of the Lockeberg Hill record with a jump of 211 feet) were members of the National Team. Gerry Gravelle won the Canadian Senior Jumping Championship and the right to compete in the Innsbruck Olympics, Rheal Seguin was second, while junior jumpers Pat Morris and Paul Pare were on the National Junior Team. Further accolades were extended to the Club when, in the same year, it hosted the Eastern Canada Nordic Clinic and a training camp for the National Team.
