The Central Bonavista Bay area, including Glovertown, was home to aboriginal peoples for thousands of years. The boats they crafted and used here most certainly played a big role in shaping their existence. It will be interesting to observe the archaeology of our area as it continues to unfold. Will we find new types of boats that once frequented our shores in aboriginal times?
