Laugi Johannesson was an original member of the "Riverton Hootenanny".

Laugi had great knowledge for music. This gentleman also played with "Johnny and his Musical Mates" and "Fine Country Folk".

Laugi was always willing to entertain for special occasions through the years and was truly appreciated.

These gentlemen were regular performers for the "Riverton Hootenanny".

Laugi and Einar could capture an audience with their perfect blend of voices. These gentlemen were popular though-out the Manitoba Interlake.
Their harmony added new dimension to the local entertainment groups. It wasn't long before they were making a name for themselves on the local circuit. They journeyed to Winnipeg, Manitoba and were crowned "King of the Saddle" on CJOB Radio's live talent show. In the space of four years, they wore the crown on eighteen different occasions for the radio's talent show, including a stint of eight consecutive weeks in 1957.

They were not only entertainers, they were best friends and spent many enjoyable times together.

Roy has always been involved with the "Riverton Hootenanny".

Music has always been a part of his life. He encourages so many individuals to pursue their talent. Roy is also the lead singer in the band "Fine Country Folk", a true original.
